Mema­ha­mi per­kem­bang­an sains, meto­do­lo­gi sains, ser­ta meng­e­ta­hui dam­pak­nya ter­ha­dap per­kem­bang­an ber­fi­kir masyarakat/Unders­tan­ding the deve­lo­pment of sci­en­ce, sci­en­ti­fic metho­do­lo­gy and its impa­ct on deve­lo­pment on thin­king of the soci­e­ty.

Bah­an Kaji­an/Sub­je­ct Mat­ters

(1) seja­rah ilmu penge­ta­hu­an dan sains, macam-macam penge­ta­hu­an, sum­ber-sum­ber penge­ta­hu­an dan sains, (2) Sum­ber-sum­ber dan meto­do­lo­gi pe­n­ca­rian ilmu penge­ta­hu­an dan sains yang meli­pu­ti usa­ha-usa­ha rasio­na­lis­me, positivis­me, empi­ris­­me, sin­te­sis, pan­dang­an-pan­dang­an modern (Rasio­na­lis­me kri­tis, Pop­per, Kon­tek­stua­lis­me, Kuhn), (3) Ilmu penge­ta­hu­an alam di masa dep­an yang meli­pu­ti keter­ba­tas­an sains, sains di ma­sa men­da­tang, pen­de­kat­an ter­in­te­gra­si ber­la­tar bela­kang sains, (4) Sains di masya­ra­kat yang meli­pu­ti masa­lah bebas nilai sains, dan per­an­an ser­ta tang­gung jawab ilmu­w­an, keter­ka­it­an Sains-Tek­nologi-Masyarakat./(1) His­tory of kno­wle­dge and sci­en­ce, all kin­ds of know­ledge,(2) reso­ur­ce­sof sci­en­ti­fic kno­wle­dge,  metho­do­lo­gy in sci­en­ce deve­lo­pment that covers the effor­ts of ratio­na­lism, posi­ti­vist, empi­ri­cism, syn­the­sis, modern vie­ws (cri­ti­cal               Ra­tio­­­­­­­­­­­nalism, Pop­per, con­te­xtu­a­lism, Kuhn). (3) The futu­re of natu­ral sci­en­ces that inclu­des the limi­ta­tions of sci­en­ce, sci­en­ce n the futu­re, an inte­gra­ted app­ro­a­ch to sci­en­ce, (4) sci­en­ce in soci­e­ty whi­ch inclu­des the neu­tral sci­en­ce, the sci­en­tist role and res­pon­si­bi­li­ty, an inter­re­la­tion­ship bet­ween sci­en­ce, tech­no­lo­gy and soci­e­ty.

Tujuan/Obje­cti­ves

Sete­lah ber­dis­ku­si, meng­em­bangk­an tugas ilmi­ah, ser­ta menye­le­sa­ik­an latih­an meng­e­nai meto­de-meto­de ilmi­ah, maha­sis­wa dapat meme­cahk­an per­ma­sa­lah­an sains dalam kehi­dup­an seha­ri-hari, mera­malk­an aki­bat-aki­bat per­kem­bang­an sains di masa dep­an, ser­ta mem­pu­nyai sikap yang baik ter­ha­dap per­kem­bang­an sains di masyarakat/After discus­sions, sci­en­ce pro­je­ct deve­lom­pment, and doing some excer­ci­ses rela­ted to sci­en­ti­fic metho­do­lo­gy, the stu­den­ts can solve pro­blems rela­ted to natu­re in dai­ly life, pre­di­ct the impa­ct of sci­en­ce deve­lom­pent  in the futu­re and have good attit­tu­des towa­rds sci­en­ce in the soci­e­ty
