As an awardee Global Entrepreneurship Camp Student Fully Funded by Universitas Negeri Malang, this program gives me the opportunity and many experiences. It is a great honor as an undergraduate student from Suranaree University of Technology Thailand to be selected for this program.
I would like to Thank to Prof. Dr. Sc. Anugrah Ricky Wijaya, head of the chemistry department, and Miss Daratu Eviana Putri M.Sc for giving me a chance to be a representative participant of this program from the Chemistry Department, Mathematics and Science Faculty Universitas Negeri Malang. In this camp, we explored (the country, city, culture, and people of Thailand), Experiences (the culture, nature, sustainability problem, working in a multicultural team, and learning and developing innovative solutions), and developing our Entrepreneurship (3E).
This SUT–GEC 2023 hosted around 90 students from many countries (30 from SUT and 60 from partner universities around the world). Students will work together to identify problems related to sustainability and climate change, spot opportunities to tackle these problems, develop new business ideas and business models suitable for the context, and present our innovative ideas. Whilst the time we spent primarily on team projects, participants will be supported and coached by SUT professors, Thai Startups, and business professionals throughout the time. Moreover, the students explored the world heritage site “Khaoyai National Park”, the startup ecosystem, and the number of culture and city excursions.
And, a whole group of participants spent 10 groups on the pitching competition, and the Universitas Negeri Malang in group 5. And pitching day, our group presented our business ideas, and last, Alhamdulillah, we got an award category that is a genius Award. We hope that next year, my friend or my junior in the Chemistry Department, will have the same opportunity as us, to be a representative participant in this program or another international program.
